Fountains of Knowledge is a charitable organisation established in the early 1990s in Nelson, Lancashire, UK. The primary objective is to invite the people to Islam in accordance with the belief and methodology of the righteous predecessors. Regular study circles, reminders, conferences, publications and other activities have been a regular practice since its inception.
In accordance with its objectives, Fountains of Knowledge responded to the urgent need to protect our children's Islamic identity by establishing Al-Ikhlaas Primary School. We felt this was particularly important as education and learning has been historically linked to Islam and the development of the Muslim civilisation. After many years of fundraising, a building was purchased, renovated, and registered with Ofsted. By the grace of Allah, the school opened in January 2010.
Al-Ikhlaas Primary School's objectives
Knowledge, learning and erudition occupy a noble status in the Islamic tradition and assume a pivotal role in the development of a compassionate and civilized society. Al-Ikhlaas Primary School is the vehicle by which we aspire to synthesize the two essential ingredients required for success in this life and the Hereafter: an exemplary standard of secular education and a proficiency in the Islamic sciences.
Fountains of Knowledge is a U.K. registered charity, Number 1096607.
