How can you get involved?

We actively seek to build a close relationship between home and school and to involve you in the life of the school and your child’s learning. We encourage you to become involved from the start of your child’s time at our school. There are many ways you can support what we do. We will let you know what is going on in the classroom by informing you of the topics which we will be teaching.

Stay up to date

For the latest news on what is going on at school, you can follow us on twitter @ikhlaasPrimary where we post regular updates.

Talk to us

Staff are always in the playground at the start and end of the day and this gives you the opportunity to talk to your child’s teachers about any concerns that may arise.

Parents Evenings

A formal parents' evening every term provides the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress.

Helping in class

We always welcome any offers of assistance in the classroom. Parents can help in many ways from reading with pupils to helping on visits. Please let your child’s teacher know if you are interested. Parents interested in helping with reading will be trained so you understand how we teach this key skill.

Parent views

We regularly seek parents' views. We have a suggestion box at the entrance where you can drop a note with your suggestion. You can also make any comments and suggestions to the head teacher.
